A bolt of lightning shoots out from you, stretching 100 feet long and 5 feet wide in a direction you choose.

Any creature in this line must make a Dexterity saving throw. If they fail, they take 8d6 lightning damage; if they succeed, they take half as much.

The lightning sets fire to flammable objects in the area that aren’t being worn or carried.

Casting at Higher Levels: If you use a spell slot of 4th level or higher to cast this spell, the damage goes up by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.

  • Duration: Instantaneous
  • Material Components: A bit of fur and a rod of amber, crystal, or glass

Note: When casting this spell, the lightning can ignite any flammable objects in its path that aren’t being worn or carried.
