You conjure a ghostly, skeletal hand next to a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the creature to hit it with the chill of the grave.
If you hit, the target takes 1d8 necrotic damage and can’t regain hit points until the start of your next turn. During this time, the hand clings to the target.
If you hit an undead target, it also gets disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the end of your next turn.
The spell’s damage increases as you level up: 2d8 at 5th level, 3d8 at 11th level, and 4d8 at 17th level.
